Iron Ore Fines are small particles of iron ore, typically less than 10mm in size, that are generated during the mining, processing, and handling of iron ore. These fines are a by-product of crushing larger lumps of ore or screening processes and are widely used in the steel industry.

Applications of Iron Ore Fines
Steel Production:
Used in sintering to produce sinter, which is fed into blast furnaces.
Sintering involves mixing fines with fluxes and coke, followed by heating to form a porous mass that is easier to use in blast furnaces.
Can be used directly in some Direct Reduction Iron (DRI) processes.
Pelletization:
Fines are converted into iron ore pellets through agglomeration, improving their suitability for use in blast furnaces and DRI plants.
Export:
Exported globally as a raw material for steel production.
